Responsible Research in Business Management (cRRBM), which comprises a diverse
group of 24 scholars, journal editors, and deans from 10 countries in three
continents, and represents all of the major disciplines in business schools,
believes that business research should be addressing the critical problems of
business and society. It is also convinced that the current model will be
unsustainable as business schools compete for resources in the future.

Walmart Inc. might want
to portray its $16 billion purchase of India's largest e-commerce firm,
Flipkart Group, as a brilliant strategic move, long-planned in secret, that
would allow the U.S. retail giant to manage the transition away from big-box
stores globally. Yet, the truth is that the deal represents a second-best
outcome -- if that -- for Walmart as well as for Indian consumers and farmers.
