INDIA BUSINESS
Google on Tuesday announced the launch of a new free tool to build a website through Google My Business. ‘Website With Google My Business’ is a new feature aimed at building a mobile optimised website instantly.
Announcing the launch, Shalini Girish, Director - Marketing Solutions, Google, said “With over 400 million Indians online, and 300 million of them on smartphones, the internet has emerged as the go-to destination to research and buy. So it's important for businesses to be where customers are. However, small business owners tell us that building a website can be complex, expensive, and time-consuming. In order to solve these problems for them, we introduced a new simple, free, and fast way to build a mobile optimised website through ‘Website With Google My Business’.”
Using Google My Business, local businesses can create their first website for free, right from their phone in less than 10 minutes, Google claims. Available for Google My Business users, this new feature will provide templated, editable websites for small businesses created from their data and photos on Google Maps. Google uses small businesses listing to build the site, taking care of the design and making sure their website is found in Search and Maps.
‘Website with Google My Business’ is available in ten languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, and Malayalam. Over 120,000 Indian businesses were part of the pilot rollout program that has been running for the past five months.

LOGISTICS
Online food ordering and delivery firm Foodpanda today said it will provide third party logistics services to its restaurant base across major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai and Gurgaon.
As part of the development, restaurants can use foodpanda delivery services even for the orders which have not come through the foodpanda channel.
The initiative is now live across Delhi, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore, foodpanda said in a statement.
 Commenting on the development, foodpanda India CEO Saurabh Kochhar said: "With our new delivery product offering, we intend to be significant support system for our partners by easing hassle of delivery for them and extend best-in-class service levels to more customers."
The partner restaurants can avail offerings wherein all orders would be fulfilled by the brand's delivery riders and would also another option where restaurants can take up customised service on a need to need basis ..

RETAIL
Low-cost carrier SpiceJetBSE 0.76 %, on Tuesday, has announced entry into ecommerce retail space with the launch of its new retail venture – SpiceStyle.
"Initially conceived as an in-flight only service, SpiceStyle, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SpiceJet, now exists in the form of an e-commerce portal. Providing shopping convenience, the SpiceStyle products are available pan-India through online and offline channels. Through this subsidiary, SpiceJet aims to make travel more stylish and a convenient experience for those who travel for business and pleasure, alike," said a release from the airline.
Airline sources said that the airline expects to earn about Rs 150 crore as revenues during the first year, which they expect will further boost SpiceJet's ancillary revenue income to 19% from around 17%.
"I am delighted to announce the launch of SpiceStyle, an exciting new business venture by SpiceJet, which will help further enhance our ancilllary revenues. SpiceStyle promises to provide customers with the same brand experience as the parent airline enabling them to travel in comfort and style. In this new exciting journey, we shall be partnering with leading e-commerce marketplaces to distribute our exclusive range of products, which can also be ordered on-board our flights as well as on SpiceStyle.com," Ajay Singh, CMD, SpiceJet was quoted in the release.
