Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology-Kharagpur (IIT-Kgp) have developed a unique technology via a software that enables conversion of Indian languages into Braille for the visually challenged.

ODISHA BUSINESS
Odisha has become the first state in the country to launch a mobile app exclusively for investment facilitation.

The deposits in banks have crossed Rs 500 crore mark in the state under the flagship Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) with opening of 6.4 million bank accounts as on August 8, 2015.

In a move that could be seen as a paradox to Vedanta’s move to shut down its Lanjigarh alumina refinery in the backdrop fall in global aluminium prices and lack of bauxite linkage, the company has initiated the process of stepping up aluminium production at its Jharsuguda smelter in Odisha.
